Two new doodles for today

Female faces are going well, so I switched to a male head ... which took me longer than I expected ... weird ... and I thought male faces were a lot easier to draw ...

What I also noticed is that the these sketches have a bit of a vintage look about them ... could be just me though ...

A quick one, I'm not going to finish it, I kind of like the sketchy look of it ...

I made a little update on the portrait I did yesterday. The face was a bit too long, and lighting wasn't 100%. I softened up some of the shadows around her eyes and nose, her lips also got reworked a bit.

It's still not perfect, but at least I like this version better.

I'm not so happy about this one ... I'm still posting it nonetheless

Almost up and running ...

It took me a while to get simpleviewer to work on this blog site, my html skills are a bit rusty to say the least ... It's still work in progress, but you can already scroll down and play around with this nifty little flash toy...

I've uploaded two of my latest drawings: two portrait sketches ... It's quite hard to get the proportions right on female faces ... painting in photoshop is both a blessing and a curse for that matter: you can always fix issues at the end of the drawing process and still end up with a nice looking drawing ...

An easy way of getting my portfolio online ...

This is it, my first blog ever. The main reason why I created this blog is to force myself to pick up the pencil (or the stylus) more often. And it's an easy way of getting my portfolio online ... I guess ... well ... We'll just have to see first how easy it actually is ...
